When we receive your order, we will let you know about the aproximate costs of shipping. If necessary we will suggest upgrading or downgrading the size of your order to get the most effective costs of cargo rates and the best method of shipping.. We will also advise you about possible problems with mixing items. For example do not mix stone items together with furniture or other wooden items, because the water contained in the stone will begin to dry out, raise the humidity in the container and the furniture.will start to mold.
About 70 % of our customers order full 20' containers, the others ship their goods in 40' & 40' high cube containers. They all understand the great savings in shipping cost and the aditional advantages when using full containers.
The first thing you need to know is that there are 5 ways of shipping your items :
LCL Sea Cargo (less than container - charged per cubic meter).
2. 20' container (30 cubic meter)
3. 40' container (60 cubic meter)
40' High cube container (72 cubic meter)

One disadvantage of LCL is costs. LCL is much more expensive, than sealed 20' or 40' containers. With a container you get the full use of all cubic meters - with LCL the wooden crates in which your products are packed and the lack of flexibility when packing large products cause you to loose about 30 % of the usable space.
The other disadvantage is, because LCL shipments always have to be "consolidated", the transit time is usually double that of sealed container. After packing your crates are moved to cargo company and only after he official government documentation is complete, your shipment is trucked to Surabaya. Here it has to wait in storage while the shipping company consolidate to fill up a 20ft container to the same direction.
FULL CONTAINER ( 20', 40', 40' High Cube )
You save at least 30 % in the different charges for LCL and full containers. When we pack an order for a container, we need to use only cardboard boxes (except for stone carving, reliefs and the most valuable goods for which we use wooden crates to protect these items), so you have more usable space left than with LCL.
And you save time using full containers. When we order a container for your products, we have already pre-planned which ship we will be using and know the schedule as well. Your container is brought to Surabaya just in time and put on the ship without delay.
AIR CARGO
Air cargo is a good choice for items with little weight but high value such as silver & gold jewelery or for items who need to arrive faster - for example when you need a sample quickly for a presentation.
CARGO RATES
For most of our customers we handle all of the cargo arrangaments and take care of all necessary official documentation (Certificate of origin, B/L, commercial invoice, packing list, quota visa, endorsement etc.) and we can offer you this service also.
But some times you can get a better deal on your end. So when a new customer sends us her or his first order, we automatically check the rates of the cargo and also ask you to check the rates on your end. Which ever rates is best for you, that is the way we go.
INSURANCE
Insurance for your shipment can be purchased in Indonesia from our cargo company, but collecting a claim from an Indonesian carrier or insurance company sometimes can be a time consuming procedure and in general, not worth it for you. So, if you want to insure your shipment, our advice is to go to your local casualty agent and ask him to sell you a policy that insures your shipment ex-factory to your front door. For all we know this is the safest, fastest and cost-effective way.
CUSTOM BROKERS
For you shipment you will need a custom broker in your country. A custom broker’s job is to handle all the paperwork, clear your shipmnet through your customs and settle any duties necessary. Your custom broker should also recommend the most cost effective way to move your shipment from the port to your front door.
