The disadvantage of doing LCL is cost will be more expensive, while in sealed 20' or 40' container, you get the full use of the cubic meters inside the container - with LCL, wooden crates caused you lose about 30 % of the usable space and lack of the flexibility when packing large products. the other disadvantage is because LCL shipments always have to be "consolidated", the transit time is ussually double that of a sealed container. In addition to cash saving of using full containers that you can assure that you can save 30 % of your money in different charge of the LCL and full containers. When we pack an order for a container, we use only cardboard cartoons, except for the stone carving, relief and most valuable goods we use wooden crates to protect the items, then you can use more usable space then LCL. When we order a container for your products, we have already pre-plan which ship we'll be using and also the schedule as well and when truck is brought down to Surabaya, picks up the container and immediatly return to Surabaya and put its on the ship with no delay. At this time, about 70 % of our buyers order full 20' containers and our rest buyer buy 40' & 40' high cube containers. These buyer already understand the great savings in shipping cost and the other added advantages of using containers.
The first thing that you need to know is that are 5 ways of shipping of your items : LCL Sea Cargo ( less than container - charged per cubic meter ). 20' container ( 30 cubic meter ) 40' container ( 60 cubic meter ) 40' High cube container ( 72 cubic meter ) Air Cargo

LCL & Full Containers
We have to ship also an LCL order ( less than a container load ), but more of our customer ship in full container. You should know the advantage that you got if you ship in full container. Bassically the LCL is the worst one and more expensive way to go. Because shipping companies hate handling lose crates and other charged raised. Shipping via LCL means that your products are packed into paper cartoon and then build wooden crates around the cartoon to protect of your products. Your crates then moved to cargo company and after official government documentation are complete, the shipment are truck to Surabaya. Since your shipment just few wooden crates and need to wait in at the port while shipping company consolidate to fill up 20ft container to the same direction.

CARGO RATES

We handle the cargo arrangaments and take care of all necessary official documentation ( Certificate of origin, B/L, commercial invoice, packing list, quota visa, endorsement etc. ) for most of our customer when you chose us to handle of your shipping also.

But some time you can get a better deal on your end, so when new buyer send us his or his first order, we automatically check the rates of the cargo and also ask you to check the rates on your end. Which ever rates is best for you, that's is the way we go.

INSURANCE

Insurance for your shipment can be purchased in Indonesia from our cargo company. But more important, collecting a claim from an Indonesian carrier or insurance company sometimes can be a life long event and in general. not worthy for you. If you wants to insure your shipment. our advice is go to your local casualty agent and ask your agent to sell you a policy that insures your shipment " ex-factory to your front door. Safest one and cost-effective way.

CUSTOM BROKERS

One of your reponsibility to yourself is to get on the phone and talk with custom broker and look at their pricing. You will see that the pricing will be all over the place. You have to bargain with custom broker the same way you bargain when you buy the products. When you already have a broker his or her job is to handle all the paperwork that we send, clear your shipmnet through your customs, settle any duties necessary. Your custom broker is also good to recomend the most cost effective to move your shioment from port to your front door.
